Achieve Your Goals
By collaborating with clients on ways to reach their goals, we find new ways to more effectively process, understand, and communicate their feelings. Additionally, we work together to identify and challenge negative thoughts and beliefs as well as change unwanted behaviors. I believe in providing a safe space for people in Metro Atlanta to reflect on their journey, examine internal and external factors impacting their current situation, and empower clients to take next steps to reaching their goals.
I graduated from Mercer University with a Masters degree in clinical mental health counseling and a Doctorate in counselor education and supervision. Throughout my career in the mental health field, I have gained valuable experience working in a university counseling center, inpatient behavioral health hospital, private practice, community mental health facility, and teaching college courses. In addition to working with clients, I also teach masters level counseling students as an Assistant Professor at Richmont Graduate University. I have over 10 years of experience working in mental health which has equipped me with the skills needed to help individuals and couples work through a variety of issues. I take great pride in the progress and success of my clients, and look forward to working with you.
The approach I take involves an inward look into the client's thoughts, feelings, and belief systems in order to help them get on the path to achieving desired life changes. Taking the time to understand your belief system, whether it is based on established religious, spiritual, philosophical, or theoretical concepts, is an essential component of creating positive change.
